The project

Parachute is a Canadian charity dedicated to injury prevention. In 2023, they engaged us to design a series of infographics to promote safe mobility in urban areas.

They needed a series of four standalone infographics, in English and French, on the topics of: equity, health and wellbeing, the environment and data-driven decision-making for road systems. Michelle reimagined their content into a seamless poster that acts both as a cohesive unit and as standalone pamphlets.

In 2024, this infographic series received Gold in the print category of the International Safety Media Awards. We are very proud of the visibility this series has created for both Parachute and the topic of safe mobility in urban areas.

Our collaborative impact

The printed infographic has been distributed to over 250 road safety professionals across Canada and downloaded over 550 times. Website traffic to the infographic exceeds 1,400 visits since publication. The infographic’s content continues to be applicable to Parachute and road safety professionals enacting change across Canada.

“Parachute wished to create an engaging outreach to people working in transportation design, broadening the concepts of what should be considered when determining how roads are created to provide safe and healthy mobility for everyone. Michelle designed a series of infographics on safe mobility themes that also linked to create a poster, which has been distributed to road safety conference delegates in Canada. This infographic series won Gold in the print category of the 2024 International Safety Media Awards.”
